Would the world still stand firm and strong Against the force of quake and storm That threaten to fiercely perform Their dreadful might that goes along With the wind of man’s fault and wrong? Would disasters make man’s knees bend To let him know and comprehend The message that they rightly send Under the sun that would ascend As the year is about to end? Note: This form is called Pasion, a traditional short Filipino poem which is composed of 5 lines, having 8 syllables in each line with a 4-4 caesura. The rhyming scheme is aaaaa. It may have a maximum of 2 stanzas.
