In tones of frenzied feelings, Rage, responding to rage, Chiseling on the stone, a heart Dusted with doubt, jealously, Hesitant to believe There was once a gentle light, Glowing like glittering diamonds In eyes – soft as the music Soothing the darkness and risking Everything, to say… Yes, despite it all, the marriage, The light glistening in eyes so wide, The beautiful of a bond, Despite the fight between two, Who know that forever… Forever can bring them back together, There are tones of darkness, Frenzied thoughts and feelings, Stirred by rage, blaming the hurt, Feelings who bring with them… The need to be right, above all else, Prideful and glowing with vanity, Bleeding conceit, arrogance – self-satisfaction So that, not only is the marriage dissolved, The feelings, they bleed with a wound… So deep it can never be resolved, It erases even the sweetest memories, As it resonates with superiority.

a poignant and powerful poem about the destructive nature of pride, arrogance, and deceit in any relationship. In the past, I've been in such toxic relationships. Well done! Have a great evening, Sara

Sad situation i see so many times, you’ve written about that so well here, Flows in such eloquence and is well crafted and is soul hitting, especially felt the lines “ The need to be right, above all else, Prideful and glowing with vanity, Bleeding conceit, arrogance – self-satisfaction“ exactly why most relationships fail, because of ego and arrogance. Love should win over all. Powerful write. Pleasure reading your work. Sending you light always
