As God Prospers Me

Lord! 'As You prosper me,' grant that I share from these gifts though my lifetime's foreshortened from what could be mine if I chose not to share, dreamt all wealth 'just deserts.' May prosperity's plague not descend like a curse on my kith and my kin, who I'd see own your Grace (not just trade for a favor), extending Your will and all life be a blessing as life groks it's blessed! Give us hearts born to share, that aren't slaves to excess. Lord! You request we stay humble, see 'good,' as life shifts on planes out of our purview! Humility's shine found in actions or trembling? Is one who exerts will, who waits for Your leading, (in faith) risk-averse? Was love given by others how Christ saw Your Face when He felt at His lowest, His flesh on Earth still? Place my pride in your guidance, my sin that’s confessed Make my joy hate’s frustration, our world Christ’s success! Long Tooth Oct. 7th in 2020
