Arunansu Ii
Arunansu 2
the woman loved his name
for it reminded her of water
great rivers broad and deep
the Nile in full flood invades its lands
like a lover softly stealing upon a mate
showering with a caress of rapids white and blue
the Ganges bottomless soul
carries blessings to the sea a flow
of spirits pass along the wheel to Nirvana
Amazon mystery steeped
those forever lost
explore it still
Mississippi carried the Mark
music plucked from memories
ride the flood on paddle wheels
all of these things
were, to her, pooled
in his name Arunansu.
