'C’est ne pas un fountaine' by Marcel Duchamp followed Rene Magritte's famous painting of a pipe with the caption 'this is not a pipe'.

This is not a urinal (un fountaine) was an installation of a pissoir in the museum, again with a subscript, in this case 'this is not a urinal. It is disputed whether Duchamp sculpted the urinal or displayed another man's loo, but that only adds to the clarifying confusion, I believe.

In my opinion, life can be fragmented, but it helps to accept that and to look behind the obvious for solutions.

How to take a leak Marcel felt quite an urge when he set out to purge understanding of how to when we view misconceptions of who is taking the piss now never thereafter and then A fountain trickling urinal porcelain pissoir on display impressed me no doubt in treacherous confusion of images since relief in museums constitutes phallic sin When streams of revisionist consciousness meet with surreal ‘truth’ of ablutions seeming paradoxes cleanse body and mind in contextual and continent solutions A fragmented human condition does not improve with rigid caged in perceptions in which mindless dogma clearly resists benefits of antiauthoritarian disinfection Are glass ceilings real are vessels of thought and flush toilets congested or empty do ivory towers reveal liberation and freedom achieve status of fully cognoscenti Nothing what it seems is Duchamp's message in a showcase of lavatorial pride colonising minds need disclosure critique confrontation urinating against the tide When cognition feeling and action with knowledge have reached full critical vision I reach for a fountain pen so whether this is a poem or not remains your decision 16th May 2017

Well this artist is certainly an iconoclast to say the least. I enjoyed your great interpretation of this piece. You express so much more than I could ever glean, and this poem is so well written. Congratulations on your win Kai! 7 ; )

Thank you so much Connie. I truly believe that hardly anything is as it seems and there is certainly not always a right or wrong. And that is okay as it is fun. Many wishes, Kai

This is really unusual and fresh, Kai, enjoyed it very much ... I love to play with counter-traditional concepts and techniques, (like no punctuation, etc), and adore anything that requires an extra amount of imagination and cognitive discernment ... great stuff. And in my humble opinion, ABSOLUTELY a poem! Loved it - congrats!
