Arms of an Angel It fell from the sky Man made fires of destruction Barrels of assadic poison No more Does my family breathe The Russians took them in but a breeze I the father look like the reaper I have no smile, nothing reflects inside I have lost love I have lost my pride I have lost my little ones My wife, my love, my lovely pure white bride I, haven’t the heart to look out a window I, haven’t any hate, emptiness abounds like a million minnows I, wander the streets, seeking daily food and shelter There she was, I cried for she was all of three Somewhere, somehow, from the universe above A spark was sent down, to my old dead dreary heart I ran with all my might and I confess I held this little one so tight In the arms of an Angel

I am the child of fugitives... I have this dream that when I manage to be independent, and have a house large enough, I welcome in as many as I can! I know it's just a dream, but the feeling of powerlessness can be so overwhelming at times.

You have captured the pure hell that is war. It is bad enough when soldiers fight and die but far, far worse when its the innocent paying that price. Even more so when those innocent ARE CHILDREN! THANK YOU, TIS A TRULY GREAT POEM. ADDED TO MY FAV LIST..

I am moved...Your poem creates commotion...Hope its the right word.It creates guilt that We are not doing enough to make this bleeding stop.I can feel your heartache..and your words are indeed a voice to the ones without one...Awesome.Happy New Year Art.

This is so painful and so true, and these days, Christmas, New Year, it's so easy to celebrate and forget. But I never forget, and neither do you. I am glad there are some angels in this world.
