Are You There God

Are you there God As my faith dwindles I ask myself Is there any God ? Ever since I was a child you stood beside me, A perception I was safe constantly prevailed, More of joys some bitter memories, Fabulous successes fractional failures, I felt grateful nurtured the trust, Every time I closed my eyes I could feel you within. What if I am a grown up? You see me in tears and don't console, You just ignore as my heart bleeds, Wounds on my soul now don't heal, Embers of desires simmer and eat my pride, Deafness you pretend and refuse to take me back. Have you abandoned me ? Are you there God ? Written Oct 15th, 2015 For contest by Silent one Awarded 4th place win Now entered for "premiere contest number 14" by SKAT A

God is there - don't worry - not on the pretend cloud as in my poem, but by your side.

Your words paint the scene with descriptive images that bring the essence of your experience into our conscious minds and we too walk the shores of our memories exulting in the moments of the past and the uncertainty of the present when it comes to God. Emile.

Awesome, deeply profound piece posing that universal philosophical query that we all have asked at some point in our lives! This looks like a big winner to me, my friend! Pandita

I have felt this way - once in my life, and I'll never forget it. You brought that 'time' back to me. But, He showed me, answered me, loved me. Very good, Upma - good luck in the contest ... CayCay
