Are You Still There

I see you sitting in your chair I ask by myself : Are you still there? I have known you once so strong Seeing you now looks so wrong In your face I see marks of pain Was your long journey in vain? Why can’t you smile anymore? I can’t open your closed door Looking in your empty eyes Once so alive and once so wise Only a body in a chair I see today The person I once knew, went away

Thank you, Tim. It is sad to realize that a friend is not really there anymore. I think I said good bye with this poem. My friend died a week later.
