Arch Angel of the Fallen
my wings have been burnt
I fell from above bending my halo
shattering the silence of reality
and tarnishing my soul
white turns to black as evil takes hold
hang on for dear life as it ends for now
I’m the archangel of the fallen
queen of the damned goddess of the darkness
tears fall down in streams of sorrow
breaking the rhythm of heartbeats born tomorrow
I’m the archangel of the fallen
and your wishes for sin are my burden
my eyes stare through your pain
no more mysteries remain it’s all unleashed
a fury raging from within addiction is a curse
creeping from the past is a ghost of distaste
screaming through the night to fight it
the will to deter it doesn’t falter
sobriety is my one and only answer
I’m the archangel of the fallen
queen of the damned goddess of the thoughtless
tears fall down in streams of sorrow
breaking the rhythm of heartbeats born tomorrow
I’m the archangel of the fallen
and your wishes for sin are my burden
darkness shrouds my past, mystery shrouds my future
and living in the moment is all I have to offer
the tattered remains of sanity cling with caution
I’ve had one too many falls and failing is no option
fading faster than the twilight is good verse evil
the ruptured light reflects my face in the mirror
disguising what I really am.. The archangel of the fallen
