Aqua Sky

AQUA SKY As I watch the sunset aqua sky pink and purple clouds float by. And when I look closely I see cloudy faces of him and me. But quickly they fade away into shades of white and gray. And thinking as the sky grows dim this is my last night with him. Leaving him is hard to bare because I don't know where or when I'll ever see him again. I'll miss his smile and loving hands. I'll miss the palm trees and warm sands. I'll miss the way he loves me too. For him I know no one else will do. And when the morning comes he'll say he loves me so and it breaks my heart to know once again I must fly into that aqua sky. Good bye, my love.... Hello Carole, Thanks for your recent comment on my sonnet: "Love's Alchemy is Eternal." "Aqua Sky" is indeed a sad and poignant Couplet. Your message of the innate sadness of the "goodbye" here really sticks with the reader. Your imagery here enhances this write immensely. Excellent Work!! A "SEVEN" absolutely!! Best Always, Gary

Lovely poem, but very sad, Carole. Pack up the good memories, leave the bad ones and have a safe flight.
