Apocalypse
I witnessed something I thought I would never see … the apocalypse
Where I stand was once a mighty metropolis
I now stand covered in ash in a silent necropolis
Everything I loved thrown into a fiery abyss
I see the souls of the deceased slowly rising up high
Their silhouettes breaking through the clouds in the sky
Greeted by angels who will help them grow wings and teach them to fly
I felt a tear begin to form but the searing heat made it go dry
I thank god I am alive
How did I survive?
I must go on and be strong I know my will shall give me the drive
We survivors must start all over again so life here can once again thrive
