Antiochromia One year ago today Watched you walk from view Yellow bird flew away On wings of jet blue Been a ghost of a good thing Ever since that time has passed What light can this night bring When dawn's healing comes at last Now my showers are scalding And my coffee is cold Mending and maulding Unfairness untold Trying to be What I wish I could see Like more hair where I'm balding Like a hand I could hold Antiochromia Becoming me Treating insomnia In a way that's healthy No more poisons or lies To run away from No self that's despised Too smart to be dumb Lessons in time From trials and terrors Learn what you need From choosing in error The road, it is long But my feet, they are strong And there is a song And I am the bearer
