Another Wasting Day

Another day, I find another fault Tightrope walking sanity's line. Staring in the mirror, judging I cry I can't imagine, I will ever change Too far set, in terrible ways Once again, start over, And, I lose myself. Another day, new beginnings I start Crossing back and forth with insanity I can't imagine, Life ever easy Too late, I think, to start again Possessed everything one needs in life, In a frenzied blur, I gave everything away The ashes of my life, scattered and gray Another day, Another chance for death I think to myself, I reached life's peak Only upon reaching the top, to painfully leap life flashing fluttered in scattered frames. Then, in my final second before death, I Painfully wondered, What if I'd stopped simply holding position, atop the peak. For nothing more, but to enjoy the view.
