Another Has Fallen
Harsh words were uttered
In mean spirited ways
Her mother tried to reason
But Susan wanted the stage
Her mind was all clouded
With hatred and outrage
As she let more words out,
During her messy rampage
Then shattered some dishes
And rushed out the door
Her mother ran after her,
Pleading as before
But it didn’t matter to Susan,
As it was another bad hair day
Her boyfriend had said goodbye
And with another he’d play
The light rain was still falling
The rainy streets were pretty slick
But what happened next
Really made Susan’s heart sick
The scream of those tires,
The thud that followed suit
As through the night air
Tumbled a dirty brown boot
Her mother lay crumbled
In the street under a light
As Susan’s eyes registered
This horrid looking sight
Anger turned bitter
Doesn’t have a winner at all
Susan’s knees grew weak
As by her mother’s side she did fall
No beat from her heart,
Only glazed covered eyes
Just a dead body in the street
Among the wails and sighs
