Another Happy Tune
Stare into the world’s demise
Look inside their broken cries
All I’ve got from this world is pain
Enough to drive a man insane
Friends dying from incurable cancers
Left without any answers
The universe is dark enough to hide
Hidden thoughts of suicide
It’s as if we’re driven to the grave
Left nothing to our name
But still I’ll sing another happy tune
As I wait for you
In the midst of the broken
I still have something to hope in
This house could never be my home
Left buried in a tombstone
I dream of heaven up above
As I see my Savior’s love
Oh how I long to run into his arms
Forever freed from a world of harms
Depression grabs hold of the heart
Tearing every piece of you apart
You’d rather die than live in this pain
Such a house of shame
How could anyone call this house a home
A world where death has the throne
In the mirror you look into your eyes
Never been able to count the secret tears you’ve cried
Such an empty soul
Never feeling whole
We need to see a hope
A chance to see love grow
But still I’ll sing another happy tune
As I wait for you
In the midst of the broken
I still have something to hope in
This house could never be my home
Left buried in a tombstone
I dream of heaven up above
As I see my Savior’s love
Oh how I long to run into his arms
Forever freed from a world of harms
Every person needs to see
Love that was meant to be
What if this house never felt like home
Because it never was
What if all that was taught to you
Was never true
I refuse to believe in nothing
There’s more than this
I’ll never stop searching
For heaven’s bliss
But still I’ll sing another happy tune
As I wait for you
As I wait for you
In the midst of the broken
I still have something to hope in
This house could never be my home
Left buried in a tombstone
I dream of heaven up above
As I see my Savior’s love
Oh how I long to run into his arms
Forever freed from a world of harms
But still I’ll sing another happy tune
As I wait for you
As I wait for you
