My mum trained as a nurse when she was 50 - quite a career change and she LOVED it:-) Nurses are incredible people I am indebted to them for the care they gave my father especially in his final few months:-) hugs Jan xx

I thought I would go with a different take on the angels theme - in his last year my dad spent a lot of time in hospital and hospice so I really do think the nursing staff are 'angels':-) hugs jan xx

I agree Eve they truly were amazing with the care they gave dad. we watch a programme called '24 hours in A & E' how the staff cope with people especially the abuse they get when someone is drunk or they have to wait - gosh it beggars belief the stuff they have to put up with on a daily basis:-( hugs Jan xx

Wouldn't that be great on the wall in a hospital? Yes!!!! Most creative, Jan, and I truly think it should be sold. I recently hit my nurse, slapped her arm (guess I've had her in my life a little over a year) because she is in her late sixties, but has never been sick, never or had high cholesterol or arthritis, probably never even a pimple! I loathe her and can't understand why she's a nurse - how can she be empathetic? I'm talking and can't shut up ... bye ... CayCay

Jan, you penned a great acrostic. I totally agree. I was a nurse assistant for nearly a year. This should do well in the contest. Good luck! - Alexis 7
