Angel's Kiss
Angel’s Kiss
What angel is it who wakes me?
Whispering her hopes got a new day
She appears but a mere mist
No form or shape
An ethereal gift from the gods
Circling around my head
Her unfelt breath kisses my eyes as she passes
Her tears fall upon lips that do not feel them
The darkness of the night begins to fade as she waves her hand
Oh such a beautiful hand it was
She touches a brow full of dark dreams
The dream fades as she fades into nothing
The sun rises and eyes open to see a new day
Was she real or a creation of imagination?
Either way she brought the morning
She brought hope to one short of hope
She comes alone to console one man
And I cannot even say thank you
