Angels All Around
Spiraling down the steps of life
Watching ourselves as we fall
Knowing not what to do about this strife
As this black hole engulfs us all
Is this the purpose of our existence?
What's the point of being pure inside?
When our deeds are met with resistance
And the world must it chide.
We are being tried, We are being tested
Our joy is filled with sorrow
Our very being has been arrested
We need strength to face a new tomorrow
Can we measure our suffering and pain
Which grows by leaps and bounds
Piercing eyes look at us with disdain
Our cries are but a muffled sound
In our dreams we see reality
Is reality but just a dream
In our quest for peace and tranquility
Somebody please hear our screams
We need somebody, We need a helping hand
To keep us standing on the ground
To lift our faces up from the sand
We need Angels all Around
