Angel of Sorrow
Angel of Sorrow,
for your dark channels
of the past,
the deceptions portrayed
and your mindful intellect.
Tread through ever-vast
embers of Autumn's
equinox, warily,
and always watchfully.
Your secrets kept hidden,
your wisdom your virtue,
for your dark temptations
of remembrance.
As grace and divinity
mesh with passion
Cosmic,
the ages of renewal
embrace your divine being
and your darker side
of reason.
Spread your wings for me
and bare my burden
of shared miseries,
of forgotten woes,
and innocence in failure.
When the stars fall,
all will be forgiven.
