And So It Goes

And so it goes, you live in your world, I live in mine. And without the grace of God we may never be close again, never be “together” again. After many more weeks I may be able to sleep and dream once more without seeing your faces. For time is healing this hurt slowly, so slowly that it may take a lifetime. A lifetime I’d rather spend having special people like you to hold, to love. But we’re seldom given what we want, you and I, nevertheless, I will always try to be your friend. No matter what it costs me my caring will continue. And so it goes… 9/15/87
