And How Was My Youth Spent

And how was my youth spent? what a shadow of a childhood lived with daydreams in the sunshine Punch and Judy, Howdy Doody drunken snows and cancelled Christmas Fifties fever busy bellows pumping, pumping life for lasting lonely only lost in lilacs understanding not the learning nor anything concerning hearing words spoke loud and ugly school could bruise a perfect day really this was life’s pure test tenure of a time of failure more of loss instead of gaining fear, frustration, isolation that was how my youth was spent. 12/8/18

so powerfully penned Janis, I especially relate to 'hearing words spoke loud and ugly school could bruise a perfect day really this was life’s pure test, as I was terribly bullied at school and words can bruise the heart just as much as bullies fists. Adding this gem to my faves:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Jan. Sorry you knew some of those bullies two. I have heard they have gotten a lot worse. Blessings, Janis.
