An Unknown Painting On My Wall

The lady in old Spanish clothes Walked to the water with the mule. It was a hot day with deep shadows, With the mule lingering at the end of the gravel path Staring at the version of himself on the ground. The lady in the old Spanish clothes kept walking, her eyes were on the lake no more than ten feet away. The mule was sullen in his gaze. The lady walked as if in a trance. Their eyes in a wonder for glory.

A pleasure to read your poetry today Matt. I will try to come back later this week to read more. I have a spring cold and not up to reading for too long. Have a wonderful week. Love, Carol
