An Individual Society

Listen to poem:
As individuals, we are judged by other individuals. We cast our own judgment… remembering. Seldom do our minds change once they're made up. I am just like you. I’m casting judgment as this poem is being written— Feeling as if society just won't understand me— You have betrayed me… society. Now, I do not trust you. We have all been let down. Great walls have been constructed to keep us divided, and The effort to unite has been misused. It's not my fault... It isn't your fault, either. It is, however, Our fault… Lost in today and worried about tomorrow; We adapt to our surroundings and accept. Rarely do we question the facts. In our youth, when we develop mentally more than ever, We believe in what we can see and what we are told. I was told that this is how it is, and I believed you. And then something happened to me. You betrayed me and robbed me of my innocence, And society kicked me while I was down. I’m still struggling to get back up. Years came and went, and I simply accepted this; I felt— Entitled to my own misery— The image of life that my family, your family, television, teachers, cheerleaders, Jocks, religion, history, government; and—everything else— Left me, silently expecting certain treatment as a man— We talk about this feeling amongst associates. They feel entitled too. I was wrong. You are wrong. That's two wrongs thus far. It's not right. We believe what can be proven by facts… Facts that were made by man. These people have great names, And are considered by most to be extraordinary individuals. This judgment is given without question. But we do not trust individuals…? It would seem that we selectively give out our trust, based on our judgment. Society creates the emotional atmosphere in which we live in. Moods’ are contagious. I don't know you! You don't know me. We can't be friends. We don't trust each other. We are judgmental! Society’s sculpted view of our "normal(s)" is a collection of beliefs— A conceptualized normality, Whose image has been sculpted through years and years of judgment— People like me and you… Have mental problems. We were born absolutely innocent. Everything that we are now, and who we have become, Has been absorbed by the images presented by society… I make up society. You make up society. Society isn't real. It's simply a belief. Society is made up! Reality isn't something that you can grasp in the palm of your hand, it is a concept. We base our beliefs’ off of these concepts and We believe in the reality we individually create. I affect your reality. You affect my reality. I give up on you to easily because I do not believe it is possible to trust you. I avoid you! You avoid me. We avoid each other... Society robbed us of our innocence… I am society. You are society. This society; isn't real... -Ironic Zinc 3-12-15

But it is real. It's the reality of the society that you're presently living in. You would have to move to a different society -- physically, or within your mind (madness?) -- to make an appreciable change to reality. Of course, you could try making changes from the inside.... :-)

I am not one to denounce an individual truth. Illusions we each create... Such as truth being only as true as one's belief. Facts being equally opinionated by and mind capacity therefore becoming lessened as fear(s) forms from the innocent imagination is denounced by our rolled models... This is subject matter to continuously change and up for infinite debate...
