An Imbroglio Sunset

AN IMBROGLIO SUNSET The City pits at night. You can hear the quagmire constantly mobilizing. The City is in quite a dilemma of all the crime happening that iniquity is a ridiculous system to maintain. Nevertheless, the monstrous environment remains. The crisis of revitalization is taking its toll. The City's imbroglio cannot be circumvented. It is like the streets in Brooklyn, New York in the 1860s nothing but filth exists. What preposterous event of a new White mayor. Will he achieve his aspirations? Nonsensical are the people in how they perceive life itself. Will the City remain asinine? When Black people get together, they will destroy the beginning of our time. Enmeshed is the City government. Trap between a rock and a hard place is a system of dishonesty. Ensnared because the problems will not fade nor disappear, the City is indifferent. Will it survive its own harsh treatment? The people are the City. Until they want more, revitalization is only a façade. They depend on their system of government but they do not respect statue of law. This City is in a manifold and what is so apprehensive is that they do not want to reform. They are uniformed in a unified form to destroy their own lifestyles into a meager existence. One day they will awaken to their entire world lost with all tomorrows gone. |_________________________________________________________________| Penned on November 06, 2014!

Verlena, this is one of your best poems (well, to me it is); you put your finger on wounds that need healing...indifference being the basis of most problems. People take things for granted. You are so right when saying: "They depend on their system of government but they do not respect statue of law." // paul
