An Emotional Bridge

Perpetual sadness if such a thing exists, is devastating to a fragile heart and soul. Love's an oxymoron of clashing emotions, sad tears and happy tears fight for recognition. You crave intimacy and welcome its caress, feeling friendly fingers linger upon your skin. But depression deepens as passion's flame dies, and once devoid of love sex seems so meaningless. Lust's an emotion used to lure a fledgling heart; any semblance of love is coincidental. Far beyond physical love's a bonding of souls; an emotional bridge, connecting lonely hearts. Yes "love's an oxymoron". Particularly love your closing stanza "Far beyond physical love’s a bonding of souls and an emotional bridge connecting two hearts." Well done, Emile.

This is a bridge to wisdom. I must admit in my younger days I did enjoy a few loveless passionate encounters. I however much prefer the intimate surrender that is part of an enduring love.
