An Anniversary Prayer

As you reflect back on your life together On your anniversary Recall the vows that you took As you stood face to face Pledging your love for each other You solemnly promised before God and man To forsake all others both in thought and in deed And furthermore, you expressed your love for each other Repeating these words one after the other-- To have and to hold from this day forward-- For better or for worse--For richer or for poorer-- In sickness and in health...'Til death do us part-- You both promised sincerely from your hearts... So since right from the start You promised to no longer be two--but one Then The Son will be your guide As you walk through life together--forever--side by side May you have many more years before you In Jesus' Name Amen
