An Angel May Be Weeping
Seems an angel may be weeping
For I felt a tear--or two;
But the clouds they do conceal her
Hidden safely from my view.
How I wish that I could hold her
Gently wiping every tear;
Then the clouds would surely open
And the sky would surely clear.
And I'd enfold her in my arms
And dry her feathered wing;
Then serenade her with a song
My heart would grandly sing.
Then this angel, no more weeping
Would appear as if the sun;
That I and she, might finally be
No longer two, but one.
