American Romantisism

cautiously i pace onward though i feel eyes are peering on my frightened soul these stricken trees which surround me look as though life has been stolen from them and given to something deep in this thick forest shadows dance around me my pace quickens the unnatural sounds around heighten increasing my heart rate its behind me lingering amongst its element its silloette is scarcely noticed by my straining eyes his steady speed matching mine with every stride i take i can feel the mass of his hot corrosive body hanging over me as i sprint to stay alive
