Amazing Creatures
Normally I'm an upbeat and happy guy
But some mornings start off wrong
Bad words are spoken over things insignificant
Instead of an upbeat song
Why does that always have to be true
Why can't we start with a kiss
Instead of yaking and yelling at each other
That we surely could miss
It's definitely human nature my friends
A fact that's most assuredly true
In the heat of the moment we say hurtful things
Till reason finally shines through
Where would we be without this conflict
It's ingrained in our very souls
Not perfect but hey, as a species we're no bad
Amazing creatures on the whole
Look at all our technological advances
Mind boggling to say the least
So let us try hard to do our absolute best
To live in harmony and peace
