Am I Not My Own
I am unique,
I stand up.
Am I not my own?
I love,
I cry.
Am I not yours?
I grow,
I improve.
Am I not my own?
I toil,
I serve.
Am I not theirs?
I am free,
In no thrall.
Am I not my own?
I feel,
I show it.
Am I not alive?
It's my life,
No other's.
Am I not my own?
I do,
I have.
Am I not happy?
I choose,
I live.
Am I not my own?
