Am I Here Or Is It Only a Myth

I call out and tell you I am right here Do you hear the call or look elsewhere Always have I held something dear I am a little jaded so I avoid the fear Now I'm the tortoise and life is the hare I call out and tell you I am right here You must know that I hold you near Insecurity though will always scare Always have I held something dear I wait for any sign at all to appear Avoiding games like truth or dare I call out and tell you I'm right here But I'm just the friend like a spare If you are searching I am the where Always have I held something dear I am different and never do compare A beast of nature never do I veer I call out and tell you I am right here Always have I held something dear

This is an exquisite villanelle... I haven't attempted this form but your poem is lovely encased in this style :)
