Flowing through my heart’s hesitant beat, rhythms of light – graceful and quiet, reminding me why I can always find peace in the garden, where I’ve found blessings as wild and free as the aching plea of the cardinal’s agile wing – by author
Bursting from pods, blooms easy as summer rain,
Reflecting gentle as dewdrop prays, silent roses,
Whispers of blushing pink, violet and faded blond,
Risking the dawn’s kindness to express the wonders,
Far more inviting than the sunrise, more alive…
Even wind song can’t sing within the inklings of light,
Falling, flaming, forgetting the past with all its doubts,
Sculpting a moment of peace, serenity that can only be found,
By souls stirred by the beautiful shadows, casting a glow,
Over the flourishing rhythms of a poetic poppy,
A graceful gardenia, wistful wisteria or mysterious moonflower…
Dreaming in flowers, flowing with praises, inviting hope
Only felt by the soul who plunges into the depths of each season….
The logic beneath a hope, a prayer, the rarest form of laughter,
Falling softly from the hearts of each bud, each blossom, each floret,
Because these delicate delights, my heart, are always in fashion.
