Alpha and Omega

Sometimes I wish I could lay back, And feel my weight against the Earth. Hold my breath and hear the sounds, Of my own slow-beating heart. Simply fade into the Oblivion That forms our universe. Bask in all the energy: The very last and very first. To be at one and at peace With all that is around. To take in each drop Of this life we have found. I wish I could be one with the world And give the world to you. For not only is the beauty great, But the pain and sorrow too.
