Alone Together

Holding it between your hands The battery is full The WiFi is working well Your index finger moves from here to there, scrolling up scrolling down You hold it... like a baby You love it... like a lady *** The world is running And you are here Still and idle Texting... chatting... tweeting There is a heart waiting for you There is a soul needing you There is LIFE... calling you outside there! *** Have you tried to have a look? Open the window Open the door Open your heart like a shore Afraid to face it Or afraid to leave it You're hiding behind your avatar And crying behind your smile *** We've become alone together Sitting in the same room Breathing the same air We are physically here But not emotionally In solitude, looking wistfully to each other Wondering if we already have a life... What are we doing online?! *** Blackmatta

Unfortunately, this has become the case of millions and millions of friends, family members and even intimate lovers!!! This is really scary! The idea is simple, the language is simple, and the warning is strongly OMINOUS!

Thank you, OMAR. My poems are always simple, but they have a message.

The greatest paradox! The whole wide world finally brought together as one great conversing and interacting collective...Only to be individually isolated from those closest to us - How horribly true and disturbingly strange your verses surely are!! My best regards, Black! :) john
