Alone In the Golden Years

A sunny Sunday afternoon. The sun was shining with all its splendor. There was a retirement home located in the suburbs of a cosmopolitan city. Seniors citizens were receiving the visit of their relatives. Sitting alone there was an old lady with gray and brown eyes named Angela. Since she never married and was childless, does not have nobody to visit her. A girl called Leandra was visiting her grandparents. She saw Angela alone, and decided to get closer. In her innocence, the girl asked to Angela why nobody was visiting her as the other residents. With a smile in her face, Angela told to the little girl that she was alone. Perplexed by the answer, Leandra asked the lady to tell her a child story. Fiveteen years passed. Leandra was a young lady. Her grandparents passed away many years ago, when she was a little child yet. She was visiting the retirement home to visit Angela. Leandra hugged her and present his little daughter Alyssa. The Sunday visits to Angela continue until the day she passed away. Leandra and Alyssa assisted to her burial. Leandra would never forget the day she met Angela. 4-25-2016

Nice story Nayda. It brings memories of when I worked in a Senior Rec Center.
