Alone In the Garden

It was cool and damp on the ground in the garden My beard was unkempt and covered with the salt of my tears My hair was wet from perspiration And my clothes damp with the stench of anguish Who would sit and pray with me? Who dare stay awake with the Savior? I am a loving man and King and I will not beg anyone to sit with me On the coldest day for my heart of suffering And then the heavens opened up and there she was My Heavenly Father sent unto me another An angelic being with the presence of love and healing A magical balm upon my heart of pain Her name was Uriel and she was my constant companion in the heavens A dear friend from so far away She sat with me and prayed with me in the garden Giving me comfort to this very day Friends forever sent to escort me to the cross of pain Sent to escort me to the highest calling of my life upon this earth To defeat death and to have my dear angelic friend alongside me A comfort for me everlasting A friend from the heavens Alone in the garden With my dear friend Written by Gwendolen Rix 10-23-14 Luke 22:43-44 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
