Alone In My Room

I'm all alone In a corner of my house Known better as my room It is dark outside my window The wind is howling Knocking desperately against the glass The rain is soothing Sliding down the roof I'm under a mound Of soft pink blankets Trying to stay warm I can't fall asleep So I reach for the closest book The bible I am now a turtle I have everything I need Inside my shell My book light has turned pink From the pink blankets My bible is opened to I Corinthians The love chapter My bear is snuggled Beside my chest I start reading The sounds outside disappear As I drift off to a land of happiness ........ ........ ........ I'm all alone In a corner of my house Known as my room It is light outside my window The birds are singing A happy song They are telling me to get up So I do And I go outside And sing along To that happy song
