Alone

ALONE Every day I couldn't wait to get out Hope that day will come about Everyone is gone so what's the rush It can't get much worse than to sit in hush I listen to stories of grandeur and in existent glamour The days sure do seem to go on forever Can't sleep for all is black This is slow time I'd rather lack My life sure didn't measure up Not for nothing times sure is tough Living the dream before I got trapped behind these bars Now the darkness lurks and life's afar Never thought I could feel such hurt and loss I am a rock covered with moss As the saying goes When it rains it pours Dear God I need salt to purify my wounds
