Alone
to mend a broken heart is
telling an artist to forget his art
telling a writer to give up his pen
telling a musician never play again
such demands can not be told
love can not just be sold
feelings so strong can not be placed on hold
to mend a broken heart seems impossible
it's a war one can not defeat
it's rhythem without beat
a home without heat
some things in life just don't make sense
even the greatest climber in the world can't challenge an infinite fence
to mend a broken heart is to
stop waves from crashing
stop the rising sun from shining
stop the new day from coming
like love, these things are worth far more than gold
such powerful acts of nature can not be controlled
they are the masterpeices of life; they'll never grow old
