Almost Three Years' Love

I loved these scented lips That you now restrain from me. Night’s misplaced sin That danced in your eyes I blessed. The hollow ache that watched me Sleep Wants the “us” gone forever. Running in this night That’s slowly stripped to day, My fire and water I see In agony. I see you as my yesterday, Gone from my today, With fire and unbearable water I drown your love goodbye. I will part From your tomorrow, Distant enough so as Not to care, In the eye of departure I will leave Behind The addicting feel Of almost three years’ love. © 2009 Stefania Carmen Misaila
