Almost
I almost forgot to remember you.
I almost escaped remembering that you are meant to be more than just a memory.
And the sound of your smile, the smell of your hug, the taste of your love...
Confuses my senses.
My brain forgot to mention not to forget you.
I tried to cope with loss of hope by not expecting to be with you.
I almost had it together, almost knew the answer
Almost had it added up, but who cares about the math after the aftermath?
Tell me who gives a damn after that.
I almost lost me.
Was nearly a face on a milk carton waiting to be seen.
Waiting to be found by myself.
I was in Hell...waiting for Heaven.
