All Things Plain
I'm not a very fancy girl
I'm really rather plain
I love the simple things in life
Like dancing in the rain
The way the warm water feels
Falling on your face
A cleansing away of the worries
Brought on by the day
I love to sit and watch the stars
Up in the nightime sky
Like little cracks in Heavens floor
For all the world to adore
My all time favorite though
Is in the autumn when the leaves begin to change
They fall from the trees where they lived
They crunch beneath your feet
The air it smells like burning wood
Either from a fireplace or a bon fire
Long sweaters and hot cocoa
Keeping my fingers warm
I love to see my daughters smile
They are the life breathed into my soul
They are my legacy for all the world to know
One day when my time is up
I'm buried and I'm gone
My only wish
My hope
Is that I left this world some good
