All the Women
all the women I've known have
told me not what to do,
or what might be better done,
or some such instruction for
myself to be different
or affluent, or just because
they liked it that way
("I'll mold him")
but listen he does not,preferring
the mulberry garden,the trees and
what not
then if I've said "I'm going for a walk"
they wanted me to sit down just for a talk
or while your out get me this would you?
..."but be back in an hour" and
"don't forget to bring me some flour"
then when I'd return with basket and song
they'd ask why I'd been so long
but... be that as it may,I'll speak up
for them all, they tended my wounds,
when I'd taken a fall
