All I Can Do
Black ice hazard on the boulevard.
Wind chill warning on the news.
Snow is falling on the evergreens
And all I can do is think about you.
Wood stove’s hot enough to fry an egg.
Moral’s clear as Mother Goose;
Longing’s making me emotional
And all I can do is think about you.
All I can do is all I can do.
Look out my window and study the view.
Waiting on something that’s long overdue.
And all I can do is think about you.
Oak leaf’s clinging to a frozen branch,
Waving like a flag of truce.
Spooky’s playing on the radio
And all I can do is think about you.
February’s acting like a middle child;
Ground hog didn’t find his muse.
Don’t know what the future holds for us,
But all I can do is think about you.
All I can do is all I can do.
Options are limited, choices are few;
Nothing but hope for a dream to come true.
And all I can do is think about you.
