All Have Left
How far is the farthest hill seen?
Where death fills its top with tombs cold
And weeds cover a name unseen
Where loneliness came to the old
Alone with memories so still
To walk the distance with age disease
All have left, your heart they kill
To have lived once, yet no one sees
Yesterdays were vibrant and rushed
Today turns an empty tomorrow
Your death is a silent wish hushed
From those who cried in sorrow
Their tears were false, a louder show
To claim pain from time never spent
Truth needs no applause or bravo
You gave them love, they gave you lament
How dark is darkness never known?
When a star splits the night alone
To vanish into the unknown
Where despair is a whispered moan
