All Dreams Shattered

A gentle breeze blowing, Coolness in the air, But still a feeling of loss, A feeling of despair. All dreams shattered, All dreams torn apart, All dreams we had, Never to part. But she never loved me, Not the way she said, Just another liar, To mess with your head. How could I have loved her, Without knowing how she was, Given my heart so easily, Shown her the love in my heart? Guess it doesn’t matter, For I know she doesn’t care, Guess it doesn’t matter, Though my love is in the air. There can never be another, To take my love away, There can never be another, That I will ask to stay. My heart has been broken, Without a second thought, A heart that would have loved, With a love that could not be bought. Kenneth Fordham 9-25-2018
