All Colors Are In
Color floods this world of ours
everywhere it bursts and flows out
as it rains the colors reflect
in bands of yellows, reds and blues
Violet, orange, greens and indigo
making such a colorful splash
if you are lucky at its end
a pot of silver and gold awaits
Vibrant hues color the forests
with shades of emerald and amber
our lakes sparkle in blue and white
as its waters tumble over the rocks
Lush flowers adorn the gardens
striped with natures pallet
trumpet bulbs of purple and red
each one vying with its neighbor
A world without color so gloomy
made of blacks, browns and greys
muted and drab they drain life away
leaving a world much too empty
Pastels bring back our hopes
as they lend themselves to nature
after all it is on her canvas
that she paints her picture
