There was a red bauble named Al He feasted on mead and Halal He got hooked on a tree Got nice comments for free Which boosted his pride and morale. Somebody the door opened wide The wind gushed inside like the tide Gosh! Poor Al hit the ground And saw stars all around He lost his decorum and pride. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Contest: Silly Christmas Cartoon Sponsor: Laura Loo Placed 2nd © 30th December 2016

Cute one..I have not heard the word decorum used very much..My father told the story about the teacher sending home a note about one of his brothers' decorum was terrible..Daddy said his dad did not even know what the word meant so he did not know what to do about it without going to the school to talk to the teacher..They was too poor to own a dictionary..Thanks for dropping by..Sara

The contests filling up fast sometimes makes it difficult to give good intervals between our poems, or if one has to travel. Ugggg. Let me see a few of your poems I may have missed lately!!

Thanks for coming back, Andrea. I have become quite choosy about contests; my time is taken up by many other things, so I have to balance and share out my time accordingly. // paul

very nicely done for the contest, Paul. I posted all my poems like this one so closely together, I think they did not get read except for the last few I posted before my trip. I love this silly cartoon contest, don't you?
