Afterglow
Let me soak in fragrant night’s blue water
The moonbeams dancing through the rafter
A chance to wiggle beneath laced stars’ flow
Gaiety of winds chuckling quite down low
Where songbirds trill of notes dewy-wet
Caressing hours without pang or fret
A radiant night when twilight slips much late
To render dreams afloat in sweetened fate
While tiny ripples seem to chant a lore
Upon scent of tides rushing like before
