Close your eyes dear sunshine My trip I had, my day I spent Now it is time to hide from your presence My swollen prize of inability and shame. Turn aside to let your less curious sister come by For even under her fullest glare I curl in peace and sigh goodnight To enjoy a dream where I am king. But the lingering fear of your eyeball Robs the wine off this nocturnal chalice Still I observe communion in piece And the moon be my witness, in peace.
